My cups are both functional and sculptural. The face cups are primarily drinking vessels and oftentimes self-portraits. Or they are inspired by friends or images from places I travel. Sometimes they become archetypal faces from daily life experiences.

The creature cups (upside-down) are non-functional and hold an animal or bird perched there for a momentary respite. Their making is similar to my found object collage sculptures and installations. They represent the ephemeral nature of time, life and memories.
